Hip Hop Appreciation Week 2015 – All Roads Lead To The Hip Hop Junktion featuring Niko Is, Tony Touch & Styles P

The Hip Hop Junktion Hosted by Conscious Mind Records, in Orlando May 23rd, was a positive and historic night, paying homage to the culture. Lucan of The Universal Zulu Nation’s Dynasty Chapter presented honorary awards of recognition to hip hop legends DJ Charlie Chase, K-Solo, Unkle Buk and to the dual national community leader Zulu King Image. The event incorporated live graffiti artists painting, three separate stages for DJ’s indoors and outdoors, a dance floor for b-boys + girls, vendor booths carrying apparel for Conscious Mind Records and others, character art by Mr. Nice Guy Darrell, and feature artists Niko Is, Tony Touch and Styles P.

The night was energized with a positive charge. When presented with his award of recognition, DJ Charlie Chase smiled and stated that receiving such an award from his peers meant more to him than any grammy. While the awards were presented, the crowd cheered. Conscious Mind Records CEO Thomas “T” Jenkins III and SoulJah Bless, promoters behind the event, were also awarded and named honorary members of The Universal Zulu Nation, both for their dedication to preserving artistic freedom and promotion of positive music events in Central and South Florida. Stay tuned for the monthly Hip Hop Junktion in Orlando to come every 3rd Week.
